Bael fruit (wood apple) squash is a traditional Indian summer drink with powerful anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits. Cooling, hydrating, and naturally sweet — a far better choice than packaged summer drinks.
Break open the bael fruit and scoop out the pulp.
Mix the pulp with 1 cup water and mash with your hands or a wooden masher to break it down.
Strain through a fine sieve, pressing the pulp to extract all the juice.
Discard the fibrous residue and seeds.
Add remaining cold water to the strained juice.
Stir in honey/jaggery, lemon juice, black salt, and roasted cumin powder.
Add ice cubes, garnish with mint, and serve immediately.
